Detour Directions to Willowdale Estate for a Taste of Trails & Sails

Due to the Town of Topsfield’s reconstruction of the Asbury Street Bridge, which connects the towns of Wenham and Ipswich, Willowdale and Bradley Palmer State Park will be accessible only from Route 1A. Please add an additional 20 minutes to your travel time to ensure an on-time arrival. Visit  www.willowdaleestate.com for additional information.

From Points South (preferred route from airport / Boston)

From Route 1 or Route 95 North

Connect with Route 128 North

(Routes 128 & 95 split in Peabody. Stay in left lane to connect with 128)

Exit 20A (1A North / Hamilton / Wenham)

Follow 1A North for 2.4 miles to Wenham Center

Turn Left onto Arbor Street (directly across from Wenham Town Hall)

Follow for 1.4 miles – watch for US Gas on your right

Turn Left on Asbury Street  (first street passed US Gas – look for signs)

Park entrance will be on your Right in 2.6 miles

Directions from the North

Route 1 South (Newburyport)

Rte 1 South to Rte 133 East (traffic light intersection in Rowley with Agawam Diner on the corner) to the intersection of Route 1A

Turn Right onto 1A South/133 East

Stay on 1A South for 5.6 miles through Ipswich and Hamilton

At traffic signal, Turn Right onto Asbury Street (after Patton Park)

Follow Asbury Street. At Stop Sign, take a Right. (US Gas)

Turn Left after approx. 150 feet to follow Asbury Street (look for signs)

Park entrance will be on your Right after 2.6 miles

                        OR

 Route 95 South (New Hampshire/Maine)

Exit 53A (Route 97 South, Topsfield)

Follow Route 97 through Topsfield, across Route 1, into Beverly

(you will see a tall white steeple ahead and cemetery on your left)

At traffic light (2nd Congregational Church on corner), turn Left and follow Conant Street 2/10 miles until the intersection with Route 1A (North Beverly Plaza)

Turn Left onto Route 1A North

Follow 1A for 2.2 miles through Beverly until Wenham Center (watch for The Maples and Wenham Museum on your right)

Turn Left onto Arbor Street (across from the Wenham Town Hall)

Follow for 1.4 miles – Look for US Gas on your right

Turn Left onto Asbury Street

(first street past US Gas – look for brown and white Bradley Palmer State Park sign)

Follow for 2.6 miles. Park entrance will be on your Right
