King Hooper Mansion, Marblehead The rooms of the Mansion include a graceful parlor, a dining room, a small rear gallery, and a third floor ballroom, which houses a Steinway piano. The original wine cellar of the Hooper's is located in the basement and opens onto the King Hooper Garden, meticulously maintained by the Cottage Gardeners of Marblehead. The Mansion is furnished in traditional Colonial style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Hamilton Hall, Salem The scene of impressive social gatherings since it was built in 1805, Hamilton Hall features an elegant period ballroom that graciously accommodates from 50 to 180 people amid stunning architectural details and decorations. The ballroom has a spring floor, an innovation that renowned architect Samuel McIntire included to allow guests to dance for hours without undue fatigue. Hamilton Hall can accommodate up to 350 for a cocktail party and the ballroom seats up to 160 people for a sit down dinner with dancing. Peabody Historical Fire Museum The Peabody Historical Fire Museum (circa 1875) is the perfect setting for that special celebration. Located on Felton Street just two miles from Interstate 95, Routes 1, 128 and 114, the Fire Museum sites atop a tree-lined landscape and is part of the Society's Felton-Smith Historic Site. On the first level, the visitor is greeted by fascinating displays of firefighting artifacts. The winding staircase at the back leads to the brightly-lit second floor function hall suitable for parties of seventy-five. The windows of the hall reveal breathtaking views of the Brooksby's apple orchards and the surrounding peaceful forests and wide open fields. Stage Fort Park, Gloucester Stage Fort Park is the historic site of Gloucester’s first settlers in 1623. There are plenty of picnic tables and cooking areas (bring your own grill or use the charcoal pits), a privately owned resturant that is open to the public, an information center and bathrooms. During the summer season, there are outdoor concerts, fireworks, and story telling for the children.
